Small Agency Makes a Huge Difference

The Convalescent Aid Society is a 90-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life through the loan of medical equipment for in-home use. Since we opened in 1923, the agency has expanded from serving the residents of Pasadena, to addressing the needs of those throughout the greater San Gabriel Valley, Glendale, and Burbank. CAS is a non-profit organization that is funded primarily by private donations, bequests and endowments. Because of this, we are able to provide our services at absolutely no cost.

The Convalescent Aid Society, located in Pasadena, California, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to improving the quality of life of our clients by providing the free loan of durable medical equipment (DME) for in-home use in order:

  • Improve the quality of life
  • Restore and prolong mobility
  • Promote continued independence and autonomy
  • Champion sustainable and cost-effective re-use, repair and recycling of DME.
