How the Convalescent Aid Society Works
Testimonials
Stormie Miller
Stormie Miller tells the heart rending story of how she borrowed a wheelchair in
order to traverse the halls of Children’s Hospital to see her son after his birth
and heart surgery. This gift bought her time to see him for the first and last
time.
Cellie Brennan
Cellie borrowed a wheelchair, and then later became a volunteer (and board member!) for the Convalescent Aid Society.
Carol Schneider
Carol helps take care of her parents with equipment from the Convalescent Aid Society. She has saved money,
met great people, and wants to tell others about it!
Gail Jenkins
The Convalescent Aid Society helped Gail take care of her mom.
David Platt
David Platt tells the story of how a friend needed medical equipment after
being told she had stage four cancer. David took her to Descanso Gardens in the
wheelchair she borrowed. It was their last time.

there.

when he and a friend of his became ill at the same time and needed equipment.
Bobbi Abram

home when he was dying and the part that CAS played in making that possible.

CAS receives no government funding and is fully supported by clients, community members and area foundations who provided tax deductible monetary donations
